Thank you for
visiting my homepage. This is a little about
me.
I was born in Smithfield, RI, a
suburb of Providence.
Recently, I purchased a home in Bristol, VA and have set up my office here.
In earlier portions of my life, you may have found me residing in interesting places such as Panama City, FL and
San Diego, CA...uninteresting places such as Grand Rapids, MI and Claremont, NH...and one dreadful place -
Omaha, NE.
After spending most of my life in this vagabond lifestyle, it appears that I'll now be settling down
in "Appalachia".
Exploring the outdoors is my favorite hobby, either by hiking/backpacking, or bicycling.
I've hiked over 200 miles of the
Appalachian Trail in locations from Georgia to Maine.
Each summer, I set out on a `pilgramage` with a
couple buddies of mine to
bag some peaks
in New Hampshire's White Mountains.
Careerwise, I work as a computer
programmer from my home office. This has always been my goal
and I've now achieved it. My Microsoft certification came in
January of 2001 after passing the Visual Basic 6.0 Desktop
Applications exam. In the future I plan to become a full MCAD or MCSD.
My knowledge of programming is
100% self taught. I did attend and receive a diploma in Computer Based Accounting
from a technical school, but that type of work was unfilling to me. Besides Visual Basic,
I have extensive experience in HTML, DHTML,
Javascript, ASP, Office 2000/VBA,
PHP,
mySQL, and database design.
Programming technology evolves quickly, and keeping up with the latest techniques is practically
a full time job by itself. My current studies include VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, Flash and 3D modeling and gaming
(DirectX)
That's a little about
me; I hope it is informative enough. I'll be sure
to keep you updated! You can continue to tour
around my homepage: inside you will find
all sorts of interesting content and links.
